The Ignored Spy
Ilse Stöbe worked for the German Foreign Secretary during WW2. She also worked for "Rote Kapelle", a
German resistance group, and Soviet spy ring. In the spring of 1942 she warned the soviets about the
planned attack, but was ignored by the Soviet leaders.
However, she was not completely ignored by Gestapo.
On December 22, 1942 at 8.27 p.m. Ilse went to the guillotine inside the prison of Plötzensee, Berlin.
She was then 31 years old.
